How to Copy Any Pose in Grok With Your Own AI Character
Send Grok a photo you like and get the same shot back with your character in it. Set up Orior in Grok Bot, the one-line request that works, and a two-bot content team that also posts.

Here is the whole idea in 15 seconds. One photo goes into Grok, the same shot comes back with Freya, one of our characters, in it, glasses and all.
Grok does the talking. Orior keeps Freya's face and makes the photo. Here is how to set it up and what to ask.
Set it up once
You need an Orior account with a character and some credits. A character made from your own photos costs no credits.
- In Grok, open your Grok Bot and send this message: Add a custom MCP server called Orior at https://www.oriorai.com/api/mcp
- Click Authorize and sign in to Orior.
- Type @Orior and ask for a photo.
On grok.com you can add a custom connector instead and paste the same address. The connect page has the steps for every app.
The one-line request
Attach the photo you like and write one line:
- "Put Freya in this photo."
That's it. Orior keeps the pose, the camera angle, the framing, the outfit and the light, and swaps in your character's face, hair and build. If attaching doesn't work in your Grok app, paste a link to the photo instead.
To change one thing, say only that:
- "Put Freya in this photo, in a black dress."
- "Same shot, but she's smiling at the camera."
- "Put Freya in this photo and make it night."
Everything you don't mention stays as it was.
It works on desktop too
Drag the photo into the chat and write the same line:
Some results:

Photos that copy well
- One person, clearly visible, not cut off at the face.
- A pose you can read: sitting, a mirror selfie, holding something.
- Good light. A dark, blurry photo gives a dark, blurry copy.
Group photos and photos where the face is hidden copy badly. Copy a pose has more tips.
A two-bot content team
Grok Bot lets you keep more than one bot. We use two, both connected to Orior:
- One copies poses. You drop in Pinterest saves and screenshots, it sends back photos of your character.
- One posts. You tell it which photos, the caption and when, and it posts to Instagram, TikTok or X through Orior.
Posting needs a paid Orior plan and your accounts connected to the character. The first time, the bot gives you a sign-in link for each platform. Nothing is posted until you confirm.
What it costs
From a chat app, an image costs 2 credits at 1K or 2K and 3 at 4K, twice the app price. If it fails, the credits come back on their own. Grok has no creation card, so Orior asks Grok to confirm the settings with you before anything runs.
Tip: ask for one photo first. When it looks right, send the next five.
